NG Rigging have painted quite a few radar domes at various locations around mainland UK, as with all observation areas they are normally positioned at the highest points in the land where access can be an issue.
When riggers arrive on site the radar dome and panels are inspected for any damage so that repairs can be made; once this is completed the structure is lightly sanded then cleaned using pressure washers, all leaks to panel joints are sealed with mastic to ensure structure is watertight.
The dome is then painted with one coat of a client specified two part mix, any repairs or new additions to the structure receive two coats.
